Most of the time there was no one at the front desk. They were either in a side room looking at their phone or outside smoking.
Overall a great experience for the money. The pillows were not that great. Our room had a working TV, mini fridge and microwave. The beds on the the other hand were actually good. Free wifi but no breakfast. There is a truck stop and fast food right next door though. The bathrooms look so elegant.
Of the several desk clerks I dealt with during our stay, there was only one who was pleasant and efficient. When I told this one about the heater problem, she made arrangements for us to move to another room at the time of our choosing and said she would discount the cost of our first night. The "replacement" room held no unpleasant surprises.
Housekeeping staff was friendly and seemed to be on-the-ball.
The front desk was not really attentive. We signed our paperwork then he was finished. Met our needs but was not overly helpful. Just did the least required. Loved the 20% discount for our meals at the truck stop. Food and service was wonderful!!!
We can always count on Motel 6 to have a decent room for us. Overall it was fine. The desk clerk who received us and the one who checked us out were both friendly. The room seemed clean but the bathroom had several long hairs in the tub. Otherwise all was good.
We stayed two nights. The heater in the room on the first night had a bad thermostat. With the desired temperature on 62, the heater ran continuously. Once the room was somewhere around 80 degrees, I turned the unit off. That way we could hear the noise from the Interstate better.
Last minute stay. The front desk clerk upon check in wasn't too cheerful and didn't seem to want to be there. The rooms were somewhat outdated, but clean, large, and comfortable. Mini-fridge provided was an unexpected plus. Good stay for the price. Clerk at checkout was very friendly and helpful.
